In 2010, HomeGoods partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for the first time by participating in the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign from November through December.
HomeGoods surpassed their goal via a customer add-on donation option at the time of transaction, but the giving did not stop there. HomeGoods also made a donation on behalf of their top three fundraising stores from the 2010 campaign. HomeGoods raised more than $830,000 thanks to the commitment and drive of employees and executive champions. As a result of their outstanding first year as a St. Jude Thanks and Giving partner, HomeGoods was named St. Jude New Corporate Partner of the Year.
HomeGoods continued the successful register add-on program in 2011 and added a new element - a water globe to benefit St. Jude. HomeGoods developed this exclusive water globe to increase fundraising potential and deepen awareness of their partnership with St. Jude.
In 2012, HomeGoods continued the add-on donation at the register, but instead of one product promotion, they had two. Two water globes were priced at $19.99 and $14.99 with 50 percent of each benefiting St. Jude. HomeGoods had their highest fundraising total to date, raising more than $2.4 million.
Thanks to the fundraising success of partners like HomeGoods, St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay St. Jude for anything. St. Jude is grateful to every HomeGoods employee and is proud to call HomeGoods a valued corporate partner.
