The leadership team from Chili’s® Grill & Bar fired up the grills at Target House August 24 and treated patients and their families to their annual St. Jude Cookout. This special event kicked off Chili’s annual “Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer” campaign.
Patients and family members enjoyed delicious cookout favorites and a number of fun activities, colorful face-painting and a karaoke sing-along.
Chili’s has been a St. Jude corporate partner since 2002. Each September, more than 1,500 Chili’s locations nationwide and in Puerto Rico participate in Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer by encouraging customers to make a donation to St. Jude and customize a signature Chili’s pepper coloring sheet. In addition, participating Chili’s locations donate 100 percent of their net profits to St. Jude on “Donate Profits Day” – held each year on the last Monday in September. Donate Profits Day 2011 will be Monday, September 26.
