“Siblings are Out of This World” was the theme of the annual Sibling Star Day celebration July 19 at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The day is set aside to honor the brothers and sisters of patients and the supportive roles they play during treatment.

Siblings donned T-shirts and participated in fun, extraterrestrial activities before walking the red carpet to enjoy lunch in the Danny Thomas/ALSAC Pavilion. St. Jude employees lined the red carpet to cheer and show their support for the sibling stars.

During the luncheon, siblings received medals to honor their contributions during the healing process. Employee and staff participation adds a special element to the event and is greatly appreciated by the families.

In addition, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. held a Huggable Heroes heart ceremony and activity for patients and families.
