Corporate Fundraising

Kay Kafe, the hospital’s bright, new cafeteria, officially opened June 19. Thanks to Kay Jewelers’ generous gift of $16 million, the Kay Kafe furthers Danny Thomas’ vision of the St. Jude cafeteria—where patients, physicians, scientists and hospital staff eat all together under one roof. Kay Jewelers staff joined Marlo Thomas, national outreach director, Tony Thomas, Dr. William Evans, CEO of St. Jude, and John P. Moses, CEO of ALSAC, to celebrate the grand opening.

In 2009, Sterling Jewelers committed to providing $20 million as lead sponsor of the Pediatric Cancer Genome Project.  The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – Washington University Pediatric Cancer Genome Project is an unprecedented effort to identify the genetic changes that give rise to some of the world’s deadliest cancers.

Fundraising programs benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital offer unique opportunities for partners to make a difference in the lives of catastrophically ill children worldwide while also working with one of the most respected charities in the world. St. Jude ranks first in awareness among national children’s charities. According to a recent study, 91 percent of Americans recognize the name of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which means 9 in 10 Americans have heard of St. Jude.*

St. Jude provides extensive partner resources and maximizes our partners’ fundraising potential by steering program development, implementing best practices and creating a passion for the St. Jude cause. Employees and customers bond in their mission to support St. Jude, enhancing customer loyalty and improving employee morale.

Once on board, our corporate partners take on the St. Jude mission as their own, demonstrating amazing fundraising abilities and creative efforts on behalf of St. Jude. We are very proud of our partners’ accomplishments and their abilities to break new fundraising records in their dedication to realizing Danny’s dream and the day when “no child should die in the dawn of life.”
