Patients enjoy tropical theme at annual Teen Formal

Patients and siblings were greeted with an Island Nights tropical theme April 14 as they entered the Danny Thomas/ALSAC Pavilion for the annual Teen Formal. Prior to their arrival, the partygoers prepared for the big night at Target House as the girls had their hair, make-up and nails done while the boys donned sharp-looking tuxedoes.

A caravan of stretch limousines pulled into the St. Jude campus and dropped off the dapper attendees at the front door of the pavilion, where a crowd of cheering employees lined the red carpet entrance. The inside of the pavilion was transformed into an island resort complete with beach balls, hula skirts, tropical food and a limbo contest. The Teen Formal is held each spring at St. Jude and is sponsored by the Child Life Program for patients and their siblings, ages 13–19.
