On March 15, the Memphis Grizzlies stopped by St. Jude to serve up cool treats and share the March basketball excitement with the kids of St. Jude. NBA players Marc Gasol, Tony Allen, Rudy Gay and some of their teammates enjoyed ice cream, signed team photos and talked hoops with the kids and families staying at the Memphis Grizzlies House located on the campus of St. Jude.

As another sweet treat, the Grizzlies players helped unveil eight framed official NBA jerseys of the Hoops for St. Jude ambassadors. The jerseys of Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat), Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic), Rudy Gay (Memphis Grizzlies), Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves), David Lee (Golden State Warriors), Pau Gasol and Steve Blake (Los Angeles Lakers), and Coach George Karl of the Denver Nuggets will remain on display in the Family Room at the Memphis Grizzlies House.

Hoops for St. Jude, an NBA Cares community partner program, is an annual season-long fundraising and awareness campaign. Each of the Hoops for St. Jude ambassadors have committed to donating a minimum $20,000 to support the lifesaving work of St. Jude.
