Delta Air Lines flies high to help St. Jude patients

When a family arrives at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, they take solace in the fact that they do not have to worry about the cost of treatment for their sick child. And thanks to Delta Air Lines' partnership with St. Jude, the hospital will be able to retain more of the funds it raises for use in research and treatment of deadly childhood diseases instead of using them to cover the costs of flying patients and families to the hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

The search for cures to childhood cancers is an audacious task, one that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital could not begin to take without the generosity of individuals and companies across America. Window World revs up donations for St. Jude

On February 14, when the cars at the Daytona 500 revved their engines to begin the opening race of the NASCAR season, 3-year-old Noah of North Carolina could barely contain his excitement. From his perch in the Window World hospitality suite, he smiled, pointed at the action below and clutched his own model race car. Two NASCAR drivers that day—John Andretti and Boris Said—were racing for Window World and St. Jude. They drove cars emblazoned with the St. Jude logo. Noah cheered for them.

CVS/pharmacy makes supporting St. Jude look easy

On February 3, 2010, representatives from CVS/pharmacy joined St. Jude officials to celebrate the opening of the new CVS Caremark Rehabilitation Services Center. The funding of the rehab center by CVS has allowed multiple upgrades including doubling the physical space and improving audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech-language pathology services for patients.

In communities across the country, thousands of people from all walks of life joined together on November 21 to take steps to end the threat of childhood cancer. They were part of the second annual Give thanks. Walk. 5K to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Thanks to a special Target promotion, Super Love Sender, Facebook users have a new opportunity to help the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This holiday season saw the successful launch of the sixth annual Thanks and Giving® campaign, with new partners joining the fight against catastrophic childhood diseases. Marlo Thomas, St. Jude national outreach director, kicked off the campaign the week of Thanksgiving and the start of the country’s busiest shopping season.
