Cure 4 Kids

Cure4Kids is a comprehensive educational program dedicated to supporting the care of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases by providing high-quality educational materials and online collaboration tools. Cure4Kids provides educational content to more than 30,000 doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals in 169 countries. Content is presented in the form of online seminars with audio narration; electronic full-text books and journals; and online self-paced courses and interactive case discussions in the Oncopedia section. All material can be easily downloaded and shared for educational use. As of January 2012, over 5 million items have been downloaded since the inception of Cure4Kids in 2002. All content and services are provided at no cost to registered users.

Content on Cure4Kids is developed by experts in the care of children with cancer, various blood disorders, and catastrophic conditions such as HIV/AIDS. While most content is provided in English, there are also educational materials available in Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, and Arabic. In addition to seminars and courses, Cure4Kids provides specialized areas for groups to hold web-based meetings with audio, share documents, and discuss the clinical treatment of children with cancer. Over 300 regional and international groups meet regularly on Cure4Kids to discuss difficult cases. Our future plans include the continued expansion of our content, the addition of improved collaboration tools, and expanding collaborations with leading societies, hospitals, and research institutions.

Cure4Kids is a unique resource designed to support the needs of a specialized population. In the words of one of one of our registered users, a physician in Morocco, “It is incredible how Cure4Kids has become essential in our daily work.
