American Airlines, the world’s largest airline, began sharing in the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 2004.
As a longstanding corporate partner in the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign, American Airlines has generated incredible awareness for St. Jude by utilizing inflight media channels, generating millions of impressions each year.
In 2004, American Airlines began promoting the St. Jude Thanks and Givingcampaign with a full-page print ad in American Way magazine located on all American Airlines flights. In 2005, American Airlines began showing the St. Jude trailer on all video compatible domestic flights and continued the full-page print ad in American Way magazine.
Thanks to this donated media, American Airlines passengers have learned about St. Jude and how they can help make a difference in the lives of children everywhere.
In 2012, American Way’s full-page ad garnered more than 1.4 million impressions. St. Jude is grateful for American Airline’s ongoing dedication and support for the medical research and breakthroughs helping children all over the world.
As a continuing awareness partner for 2013, American Airlines will promote the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign through an ad in American Way as well as offer the custom St. Jude Thanks and Giving movie trailer on its entertainment equipped flights during December.
American Airlines will also promote the campaign through its social outlets.
