In 2008, New York & Company joined the St. Jude family and established Team Hope, which has proved vital to the success of the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign, raising an impressive $1.1 million in its first year. 

In its first year as a St. Jude partner, New York & Company was proudly recognized with the St. Jude New Corporate Partner of the Year award, thanks to remarkable fundraising, community impact initiatives and potential for future growth. On the premise that “some gifts count more than others,” New York & Company encouraged add-ons at the register, online donations and participation in the St. Jude Give thanks. Walk. program.

In 2009, associates raised more than $1.7 million through customer donations, and the brand became the top-performing National Platinum Sponsor in the St. Jude Give thanks. Walk.™ program, raising more than $60,000. 

In 2010, New York & Company raised $2.2 million, and again took the lead as the top National Platinum Sponsor of the St. Jude Give thanks. Walk. with donations reaching nearly $130,000.

New York & Company brought members of Team Hope to Memphis in July 2010. They visited the hospital and Target House, and met with St. Jude patients and staff. These associates had the opportunity to determine what their personal legacy would be during the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign, and returned to their stores to create St. Jude Legacy walls in their break rooms. 

New York & Company has begun its own legacy at St. Jude, bringing hope to the families of St. Jude. Due to its extraordinary achievements in 2009 and 2010, the company was recognized with Top National Platinum Sponsor at the 2011 St. Jude Corporate Partner Summit.

In 2011, the company continued its national platinum sponsorship for the walk, where they raised nearly $200,000, plus they added a $1 donation for each new Facebook “like,” up to $50,000. Thanks to New York & Company’s deep commitment to St. Jude, it has become one of our top 10 corporate partners.
