Country music's biggest names chip in to fight childhood cancer

Some of the country music industry's biggest stars are placing their prized possessions on the auction block in an effort to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the world's premier center for the research and treatment of cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. Hosted by Kompolt, the charitable auction will run on eBay® starting November 7 through November 17.

Dozens of artists are donating auction items to show their support of St. Jude. Some of the items include acoustic guitars autographed by Keith Urban and Gretchen Wilson; an electric guitar signed by the members of ZZ Top; swim trunks signed by Kenny Chesney; a shirt and a pair of jeans signed by Troy Gentry and Eddie Montgomery (of Montgomery Gentry); Jo Dee Messina's autographed corduroy jacket; jeans autographed by Alan Jackson and a novel written and signed by Jimmy Buffett. Auction fans will also have the opportunity to bid on several "experience packages," including a lunch outing in Nashville with Johnnie and Donnie Van Zant (of Van Zant); a VIP vacation package for the Grand Ole Opry and a trip for two to see a live taping of Reba McEntire's television show, Reba.
