Adrianne Calvo

At age 30, Adrianne has enjoyed an incredible number of accolades during her remarkable journey in becoming a recognized chef. Coining the catch phrase, “Maximum flavor”, Adrianne has managed to exceed to the “maximum” degree. From graduating top of her class at Johnson & Wales University to now owning and operating her own restaurant, Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar, Adrianne has influenced the culinary community as well as the way people experience fine dining.

Adrienne is featured every Thursday morning on her very own Maximum Flavor TV segment on NBC6’s Six in the Mix.  She signed a multi-year endorsement deal in with Panda Kitchen and Bath, a Miami, Florida-based leader in the kitchen and bath remodeling market, as the company’s spokesperson. Her camera presence has garnered the attention of weekly spots on NBC 6 and Univision, an episode on The Food Network’s "Chopped", yearly participation in the South Beach Food Festival, countless segments with ClearChannel, involvement in local and national events, and recently hosting her own show, "Food as a Lifestyle with Chef Adrianne". 

Along with her accolades, Adrianne has been able to give back to the community through her foundation, Make It Count. She has made it a mission to help children suffering from cancer. The foundation was started by Calvo, inspired by her sister, Jennifer, who passed away at 19 years old due to cancer. In 2007, Adrianne along with her friends and staff of Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar began to sponsor events for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Every year, Adrianne visits the hospital in Memphis during the holiday season to cook for the patients and families.

Jencarlos Canela

Known for hits such as “I Love It,” “Amor Quedate” (Love, Stay With Me), “Mi Corazón Insiste” (My Heart Insists) and “Dime” (Tell Me), 25 year old Jencarlos Canela began his professional career as the lead singer of the group Boom Boom Pop at the age of 12. A graduate from The New World School of the Arts, Jencarlos’ first album, “Buscame,” entered the Latin album charts at number one and was certified Gold within weeks of its release. 

As an actor, Jencarlos has worked with Telemundo and appeared in various soap operas like “Pecados Ajenos,” “Doña Barbara” and “Bruno.” In 2009, he became the star of the most highly rated Telemundo primetime network drama ever, “Más Sabe El Diablo.” In 2009 and 2010, he starred in the movies “Hunted by Night” and “Mas Sabe El Diablo: El Primer Golpe,” which is the introduction to the soap opera “Mas Sabe El Diablo.”

On the humanitarian front, Jencarlos was chosen to be the voice of the Department of Familes in Puerto Rico for adopting children. He supports FANLYC in Panama, the Foundation Villa Blessing in Dominican Republic, and he is the spokesman and image for the Miracle Hospitals and a spokesman for the Christopher and Dana Reeves Foundation dedicated to finding the cure and treatment of paralysis. In 2014, Jencarlos received the key to the City of Miami from the mayor, Tomás Regalado, who noted that Jencarlos is “the face of Miami.”

Jencarlos new album was released on May 6, 2014. The first single of this album “I Love It” won canción del Verano in Premios Juventud 2013.

Ana Maria Canseco

Ana Maria Canseco is one of the most recognized television personalities and has earned the love of Hispanics in the United States. In the fall of 2013, she returned to the television screen as co-host of “Un Nuevo Dia” in Telemundo with her famous phrase “Echate pa’ cá”. Before joining the morning show “Despierta America”, Ana Maria served as host of entertainment Noticiero Telemundo 52 in Los Angeles. Early in her career, she also was a reporter and a host in Texas, debuting also as an actress in the telenovela “Mundo de Juguete”. Ana María, who was part of the list “50 Más Bellos” of People en Español, was Master of Ceremonies of the “Cinco de Mayo” celebration hosted by President George W. Bush and the First Lady.

Willy Chirino

Willy Chirino is celebrating his 42nd year in the music business and is recognized throughout the world as the creator of the Miami Sound, a unique fusion of Cuban music, rock, jazz, Brazilian and Caribbean rhythms. He won a GRAMMY® Award in 2006 for Best Salsa/Merengue Album for Son del Alma. He was also nominated in 2007 for a Latin GRAMMY® for Best Salsa Album for 35 Aniversario En Vivo. Chirino has released more than 30 albums and is the composer of more than one hundred songs, which have been recorded by over sixty artists. In 1997, he launched his own music label, Latinum Music Inc. after being signed by CBS and later Sony Music. He has also written several songs that have become emblematic for the Cuban people, but none more so than Nuestro Día (Ya Viene Llegando), which has become a second national anthem for his compatriots out-side and inside the captive island.

Chirino was awarded the United States Legion of Honor in 1976 for his humanitarian work. He was also recognized by UNICEF for his work with the Willy Chirino Foundation in 1996 as well as the Billboard Humanitarian Award, and received the Hispanic Heritage Award from the United States Department of State. He also re-ceived a star on the Calle Ocho Walk of Fame and was named the King of the annual Calle Ocho Carnival in 1993.

Pamela Silva Conde

Six-time Emmy award winning journalist Pamela Silva Conde is co-anchor of the Univision Network’s weekday newsmagazine “Primer Impacto” (First Impact), one of the highest-rated programs in the United States and in 12 Latin American countries. Since she joined the show in 2011, she has covered major national and international news stories.

As part of the Univision News team, prior to “Primer Impacto” she was the national correspondent for Univision’s primetime newsmagazine “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now), with which she continues collaborating. Previously, Silva Conde anchored the leading Spanish-language morning newscast in South Florida for the Univision Miami local affiliates. She has also guest-hosted ABC’s “The View”.   

A celebrated journalist, in 2006 Silva Conde won her first Emmy award for on-camera work, and in 2007 she received three additional Emmy awards in the writing, news feature and human interest story categories. Two more Emmys followed: in 2009, for a feature story on Facebook, and in 2010, for a news feature. She recently established the “Pamela Silva Conde Scholarship” benefitting first-generation, low-income college students. She is a member of the board of directors of Amigos for Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect, and is a national volunteer and spokesperson for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Raul Gonzalez

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Raul Gonzalez began his career in the entertainment industry at the age of 15. At 18 years old, he created the children television show called Chamokrópolis,” which would later become a hit under the name “Supercrópolis.” After moving to America, he was chosen to be the main speaker for “La Gran Aventura” tour hosted by Discovery Kids Latin America/Iberia, and he hosted a Nickelodeon show called “Game Lab.” For 13 years, Raul was the co-host for a morning show called “Despierta America,” a news and entertainment program that received high ratings in the Hispanic market. In 2013, his hard work payed off, and he was given the privilege of hosting the show alongside the English morning program, “Good Morning America.”

Raul also worked in radio as a co-host for popular programs such as “Sobre Ruedas” and “Las Tardes Calientes,” and he was the protagonist for his self-produced and self-written musical “Visa Para Un Sueño”. He produced and acted in another comedy, “Gordura De Mi Vida,” which is based on his personal battle with obesity, and he was the executive producer for “Los Monólogos de la Vagina” when they were translated for the first time in Spanish. In 2010 and 2012, he was chosen by “People en Español” and Miami Life Awards as the best television presenter and one of the most influential Latinos en Miami. In 2014, he was given the opportunity to lead the 51-year-old television program “Sábado Gigante.” He is currently working with Telemundo to produce programs for the new season.

Charytín Goyco

Nicknamed “La Rubia de América” or “The Blond from America,” Charytín Goyco is an internationally recognized Dominican singer, television hostess and actress. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Charytín moved to Puerto Rico in 1970 where she met her husband, television actor and producer Elin Ortiz. Within a few years, Charytín created a weekly television show that led to her international hit song, "Mosquita Muerta", which became widely successful in Mexico, Venezuela and Argentina.

In 1984, Charytín acted in the movie, “Prohibido Amar En Nueva York,” or Forbidden to Love in New York with Mexican actor Julio Alemán. Two of the songs from the movie’s soundtrack, “Tu Vida Es Un Suspenso Hasta El Final” and “Para Llegar” were extremely successful. Later in 1986, she would act with Dominican actor Andrés García and Yolandita Monge in a soap opera called Escándalo. In 2002, she hosted the highly rated entertainment show “Escándalo TV,” a celebrity gossip show, alongside Marisa del Portillo, Felipe Viel and Lilia Luciano for TeleFutura. Since 2006, Charytín has been awarded the ACE Extraordinary Distinction and Merit Award and was given a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Art Critics Association of the Dominican Republic. She was also given the honor of appearing on the cover with Ricky Martin and Zoe Zaldaña in the prestigious magazine, “People en Español” as one of the “50 Mas Bellos” (“50 Most Beautiful”).

Alberto Sardiñas

Alberto Sardiñas is the Host of AMOR’s 107.5 11 a.m.-3 p.m. shift in Miami. He also hosts and produces “Intimo” a hit Sunday night syndicated show broadcasted across several cities across the United States through Univision Radio. Listeners share amazing life stories and have a heart-to-heart conversation with a friend. These stories are combined with music and inspirational messages that have made the show a leader in the US Hispanic market.

He frequently appears on Univision Network’s “Despierta América” and “Tu Desayuno Alegre” as a contributor in the field of self-improvement and motivation, in which he also gives conferences around the country. Alberto was hired in 2008 by the National Speaking of Women’s Health Foundation, to be their Keynote Speaker during all of their “Hablando de la Salud de la Mujer” events. His inspirational message was received by over 4,000 women in Orlando, Miami, San Antonio, Amarillo, El Paso and San Diego.

As the author of the book “El Poder de TU Historia” (“The Power of YOUR Story”), published in 2011 by Santillana U.S.A., he compiled forty true, short stories portraying life lessons told to him by his radio listeners.

As part of his community work, he is actively involved with non-profit organizations including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Big Brothers Big Sisters. He is also a Member of the Board of Radio Lollipop USA. Alberto was chosen by Radio Ink magazine as one of its 2012 Rising Stars.

Jon Secada

With two Grammy Awards, more than 20 million albums sold and starring roles on Broadway, Jon Secada’s unique voice has secured his position as one of the first bilingual artists to have international crossover success. Recognized for his soulful and melodic voice, Secada has written and produced hit songs for himself and artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan.

In his teens, he discovered his love for music, and besides being surrounded by salsa, merengue and tropical rhythms, he was drawn to American Pop, Dance and R&B artists such as Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Elton John and Marvin Gaye. As a result, he created his own original style that fused all of these sounds, combining a touch of Latin, Soul and Blues percolating as musical undertones beneath the surface of his own Pop anthems. After obtaining his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Miami, he met Gloria and Emilio Estefan, who began using his talents in the music industry. After signing a record contract, Secada released his first album in 1992, an album which sold more than six million copies worldwide, was certified triple platinum in the U.S. and reached No. 15 among Billboard Pop albums. Currently touring and performing all across the globe, Secada has performed with musicians such as Luciano Pavarotti, Frank Sinatra, Jim Brickman and Olivia Newton-John. 

Jon has devoted himself to assisting charitable groups all over the world, under his organization, Jon Secada Charities. He has been active with many causes to help children, education, AIDS research and child abuse, including raising awareness of Hepatitis C. The initiatives he supports in-clude the Pediatric AIDS unit at Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital, the Lifebeat Concert to benefit AIDS, among other charitable organizations.

James Tahan

James Tahan, better known as “Chef James” is one of the rising stars of Spanish-language television in the United States as part of “Un Nuevo Día”, the popular morning show on Telemundo that offers delicious food with their recipes during its cooking segment. James was born in Caracas, Venezuela and is of Syrian de-scent, allowing him to capture the best of different cultures in his recipes. According to James, the three words that define him professionally are “Passion”, “Strength” and “Vision”, and these three characteristics have allowed him to catapult his career in both television and in the culinary world. James graduated from the prestigious cooking school Le Cordon Bleu in Miami in 2009 and in early 2011, he was cast for “Levántate”, the name of “Un Nuevo Día” at the time. In addition to “Un Nuevo Día”, James also led his own cooking show called “Puro Chef” on channel “Utilísima” since 2011. James not only displayed his passion for cooking on camera, but he also has an entrepreneurial instinct with a restaurant consulting company dedicated to restructuring and opening projects related to the culinary world. In addition, he also opened his own cooking school, called “Culinaria “. In 2014, James was selected by Peopleenespanol.com users, as one of the “50 Bellos” in their May edition.
