Runners go the extra mile for St. Jude kids in the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run

The 2013 St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run kicked off Wednesday, July 31 at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This unique, 465-mile event began in 1982 and was the idea of co-founders Michael D. McCoy and Gene Pratt. The relay from Memphis to the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria has become one of the foremost charity running events in the nation. Since its inception, runners have raised over $13 million for St. Jude kids. This year’s event raised $845,915 for St. Jude.
