The Country Fans Care for St. Jude Kids program kicked off in June at the International Fan Club Organization Fun Fest and continues to grow.
Recently, members of the Keith Urban Fan Club organized a fund-raiser that added to the decor of the celebrated Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Fan club members created drawings of Urban in colored pencils and crayons, even in sequins and feathers and put them on display during the fund-raising event. In order to be included in the exhibit, each fan made a donation to St. Jude.
And that is just one example of how the fans of country music artists are helping to support the life-saving work of St. Jude. You can help too by finding out what your favorite country star's fan club is doing for St. Jude.
Country Fans Care allows fans to help the kids of St. Jude in the name of their favorite music artist. It is a way of showing support to a favorite artist and to the St. Jude kids, at the same time. Artists with fans participating will receive a special certificate given on behalf of their fans, as well as recognition during the Country Music Association Music Festival.
Fan clubs of Urban, Tommy Shane Steiner, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tracy Lawrence, Tracy Byrd, Mark Wills, Andy Griggs, Bryan White, Trick Pony, Gary Allan, Joe Nichols, Toby Keith, Wynonna Judd, Chad Brock, Trace Adkins and Michael Peterson are all involved in the Country Fans Care for St. Jude Kids program. And more continue to join, such as fan clubs for Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Jeff Bates, Alan Jackson, Chris LeDoux, Phil Vassar, Chris Cagle, Eddy Raven, Lonestar, Rushlow and John Berry.
Taking part in the program is easier than you may think. You can keep your fund-raisers simple or make them as elaborate as you wish. Fans have raised money through bake sales, auctions, car washes and benefit concerts. Participants can work independently or as a team with other caring fans.
