Trike-A-Thon
Trike-A-Thon is a fun, week-long curriculum and fundraising program for daycare centers or pre-schools that teaches children riding-toy safety lessons through a series of interactive stories. Children receive these lessons from special St. Jude friends, Bikewell Bear™ and Pedals the Bunny™, while raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. At the end of the Trike-A-Thon week, students bring their trikes or riding-toys to school and practice the safety lessons they have learned.
Included in the Trike-A-Thon school coordinator kit is the official Trike-A-Thon DVD, featuring theme song, “Different Spokes for Different Folks,” from kids’ band Hot Peas 'N Butter™. NOGGIN, the commercial-free educational preschool TV network from Nickelodeon, has also joined in the fun of Trike-A-Thon.

How does Trike-A-Thon raise money for the children of St. Jude?
Parents help their children gain sponsorship from friends, family and co-workers. Typically, sponsors either donate a monetary amount per lap or pledge a flat donation amount for the child to participate. After the Trike-A-Thon, parents help collect donations from sponsors and turn them into the school coordinator. Children that participate in the program learn riding-toy safety, help St. Jude and earn fun prizes.
What does St. Jude provide?
Volunteer coordinators (typically pre-school teachers or daycare operators) will receive a Trike-A-Thon kit to help organize and plan the event. The kit includes a storybook, coloring sheets, posters, a Trike-A-Thon DVD and other materials needed to carry out a successful event. All of these materials are free. There is no cost to your pre-school or daycare center to coordinate an event.
Sign up your school/group for the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon
Sign up your child's school or neighborhood group to participate in the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon. On the registration page, please enter the school/daycare name in the "Event Name" field, or enter the group name that will be associated with this event (e.g., Brownsville Neighborhood Association Trike-A-Thon).
If your school has a Trike-A-Thon already scheduled, please check "Yes" under "Event Scheduled.
Once you have submitted this form, one of our Trike-A-Thon representatives will contact you within two business days.
