Colby was found to have acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), the most common form of childhood cancer, in December 2004.

In September 2004, Katy was discovered to have a rare tumor of the ovary called Sertoli-Leydig.
In January 2004, Easton was discovered to be suffering from choroid plexus carcinoma, a rare malignant brain tumor.
In March 2004, doctors discovered Samantha was suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Joshua was discovered to have acute myeloid leukemia in May of 2004.
In April 2004, doctors discovered that Louis was suffering from a brain tumor called medulloblastoma. Medulloblastoma accounts for about 20 percent of childhood brain tumors.
