A golden-domed replica of the Danny Thomas/ALSAC Pavilion, flanked by culinary delights, served as the epicenter of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 50th anniversary celebration for employees. Current and past employees filled the decorative tent on the hospital’s campus to listen to the throwback sounds of the local group “The Bouffants.” The event, themed “Through the Decades: 1962—2012” featured decade-oriented food stations with facts, photos and landmark moments from the hospital’s first five decades. St. Jude first opened its doors on February 4, 1962.
