St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was the epicenter of the teen scene July 28 when musical sensation the Jonas Brothers, actress and singer Miranda Cosgrove, star of iCarly, and actor Angus T. Jones, star of Two and a Half Men, toured St. Jude and Target House. Their visit was captured by Access Hollywood and aired July 30.
The young celebrities were in Memphis as ambassadors for Target Presents Variety’s Power of Youth, a special annual event that draws more than 100 young entertainers for live performances and interactive games and activities to support the children of St. Jude. There also will be a public online charity auction in conjunction with Power of Youth. This is the second year for the event, which will be held Oct. 4 at L.A. Live in Los Angeles. To date, the Power of Youth has raised more than $600,000 for St. Jude.
Joining Cosgrove, Jones, and Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas as youth ambassadors on the program are Hilary Duff, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning, Demi Lovato, Corbin Bleu, Elle Fanning, Eliza Dushku, Olivia Thirlby, Ashley Tisdale and Emma Roberts. They represent Hollywood’s next generation of entertainers to follow in the footsteps of St. Jude founder Danny Thomas and give back to the community by supporting the lifesaving work of St. Jude.
