What is Special Events for St. Jude?

Special Events for St. Jude encompasses a variety of fun, volunteer-based, community or group events that raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The program is very flexible and can work in one of two ways.

Sponsorship Seeking Events are events in which participants are seeking sponsorship for their participation, like walk-a-thons, bike-a-thons and bowl-a-thons. Participants and coordinators can earn prizes based on donations collected.

Non-Sponsorship Seeking Events are events in which attendees or participants are not seeking sponsorship for their participation in the event. Examples of Non-Sponsorship Seeking Events are: bake sales, garage sales, concerts, carnivals, car washes and fashion shows. Participants or attendees are not eligible for individual prizes, but the coordinator can earn prizes based on the total amount the event raises.

What does St. Jude provide?

St. Jude will send you a free event kit with coordinator resources, which includes event posters, a St. Jude DVD and more. If your participants will be seeking sponsorship for participation, you will receive fundraising materials to distribute them, and they are eligible for prizes based on their fundraising success.
