Meet patient Ethan

St. Jude has the largest pediatric brain tumor research program in the country and the world’s best survival rates.

This is good news for children like 5-year-old Ethan, who is battling pineoblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain tumor. “There is just no place like St. Jude. It’s a gift from God,” says Ethan’s mom.

When an MRI revealed a tumor on Ethan’s brain, his parents were very concerned with the treatment their son was getting at their local children’s hospital. “When we left the hospital, I just had a bad feeling,” says Ethan’s mom, “No one was really giving us any hope.”

She decided to call St. Jude. “The doctor was on vacation, but he looked at Ethan’s pictures anyway. Right then we decided: 'We have to go to St. Jude.’”
