St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has two areas of focus regarding media and public relations. The Media Relations team of the St. Jude Public Relations department works with journalists to develop stories about the hospital’s research, treatment and patient care. The Communications department at ALSAC, the fundraising organization of St. Jude, works with journalists to develop stories about its hundreds of fundraising events and programs that benefit the hospital.

  • hospital faculty and staff (physicians, nurses, researchers, patient care, hospital administration)
  • a St. Jude patient
  • the hospital’s research or treatment
  • St. Jude treatment protocols
  • an expert on the hospital’s research, departments or on diseases St. Jude treats
  • an official statement about St. Jude
  • non-fundraising community activities

If you are student working on a project with St. Jude as your topic, please use the St. Jude Web site and Internet search engines as your references. Due to their work load and schedules, St. Jude faculty and staff are not always available for interviews or inquiries.
