About the Garden
The St. Jude garden provides Kay Kafe with fresh vegetables grown right here on campus using organic practices. Kay Kafe, the St. Jude cafeteria, feeds patients and families every day, free of charge. The garden project currently encompasses 59 raised beds, a greenhouse and hoop houses for growing vegetables such as carrots, celery and lettuce.
Kay Kafe chefs like Chef Miles McMath utilize the garden to create healthy meals for the kids of St. Jude and give them the best possible chance to help their bodies heal. Planting our own garden also means more of your support goes to our lifesaving research and treatment because we can reduce the amount of produce we must purchase from outside suppliers.
Your generous gifts have allowed us to create initiatives like the St. Jude garden, and as a thank you, we invite you to check out these great recipes utilizing fresh produce from Chef Miles.
