ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Oncology Residency - Pediatrics

St Jude Children’s Research Hospital offers a 12-month ASHP-accredited specialized (PGY2) Residency in Pediatric Oncology. This residency experience includes training in general hematology / oncology, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), infectious disease, and ambulatory care. Residents are provided training in applied pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenetics, nutrition support, and advanced training in clinical therapeutics of the pediatric cancer patient.

Along with direct patient care responsibilities, the resident will have the opportunity to precept Doctor of Pharmacy students, provide didactic lectures, in-services, and journal clubs, and participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee meetings, as well as conduct collaborative clinical research. To develop research skills, residents will also be required to participate in an independent research activity, which is expected to result in submission of a publishable manuscript and are also required to present their research findings at a national pharmacy or scientific organizational meeting.
