So many children are still fighting for their lives at
St. Jude, and the cost to provide treatment for a child like Evan, who is battling a brain tumor, could be as much as $260,000.
That's why we need your help today to treat these children and send them back where they belong—home with their families.

At 6 years old, Evan Pertile already has a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. And while the commendations were not earned on your typical battlefield, Evan's fight against cancer has so touched members of the United States military that some have awarded him their own medals for his bravery.

This chain of caring the military has showered on Evan began when one person decided to make a difference. Brenda Bowen, an employee at Ft. Leavenworth, met Evan’s mom on an airplane. She learned about Evan’s fight against cancer and decided not only to  write a letter of encouragement to him, but get other members of the military to write him as well.

That encouragement has helped Evan get through some of the toughest moments of his fight. And today, the cancer is in remission, and Evan has returned to the home front.

Evan’s warrior spirit combined with the military support, the unwavering efforts of St. Jude doctors and researchers and the support of people like you have made it all possible.

You can help other kids like Evan who are fighting for their lives—please donate now.
