The Sunday of Hope program encourages churches across the country to unite as a body of believers to help children suffering from pediatric cancer, sickle cell disease and other catastrophic illnesses. Through this program, church congregations show their love and support for the children of St. Jude by giving a special love offering on one Sunday.
Sunday of Hope events typically take place late February through early June in churches nationwide.
Sunday of Hope is vital to continuing the lifesaving work taking place at St. Jude. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. Thanks to donors like you, no family ever pays for St. Jude care. St. Jude also provides transportation costs and local living expenses during treatment for the patient and one parent, and assists with meal costs while the family is in Memphis. With operating costs at $1.7 million a day, the children and families of St. Jude need your help.
