Downing nominated for TIME magazine's top honor

Dr. Downing heads the research enterprise at St. Jude. His leadership of the Pediatric Cancer Genome Project has led to groundbreaking discoveries in some of the most aggressive childhood cancers. Earlier this year, the Pediatric Cancer Genome Project made TIME magazine’s top 100 new scientific discoveries. Dr. Downing is a world leader in pediatric cancer research, particularly in understanding the genetic basis of cancer and gene profiling.
