Williams-Sonoma, Inc. named St. Jude Corporate Partner of the Year

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. was recognized as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's Corporate Partner of the Year during the presentation of the ALSAC/St. Jude Volunteer Appreciation Awards on June 24, 2011. St. Jude honored partners, volunteers and donors from across the country at the annual event.

St. Jude Minden Auction continues to break records

For 33 years, the people in the small Louisiana town of Minden have been running an auction to help raise money for the patients of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. And each year, the town of about 13,000 residents has raised more and more to help the hospital in its mission of finding cures and saving children. This year’s Minden St. Jude Auction was no exception.

Second grader learns early the joy of helping others

At the start of 8-year-old Caroline’s school year last fall, her parents introduced a big concept to the second-grader: philanthropy. How might the family, including Caroline, her older brother Chase and younger brother Harrison, help those in need? Caroline came up with an idea to collect money and chose St. Jude as the recipient.

Going the extra mile

Volunteer Mary Kilkenny will go the distance for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ... and she has. In 2007, Kilkenny ran all 26.2 miles of the Chicago Marathon and then waited tables at a fundraising event for St. Jude most of the same afternoon and evening. Exhausting for sure, but as director of the Chicago board of Friends for St. Jude, Kilkenny strives to help families of St. Jude.
