Target has been one of the leading supporters and largest St. Jude corporate partners for more than a decade through its support of Target House® and the groundbreaking research and lifesaving care of St. Jude.
Target House
Target House, made possible by a multi-million dollar gift from Target, opened its doors in 1999 and another building was added in 2002. In an innovative approach, the facility gives St. Jude patients and their families a warm home-away-from-home during long-term treatment.
Target House provides a magnificent community of 98 fully-equipped, two-bedroom apartments in a beautiful setting just minutes from St. Jude. The unique residence is free-of-charge to St. Jude patients and enhances their quality of life by providing a haven where the St. Jude children and their families derive compassion, comfort and strength.
St. Jude
Thanks to generous contributions of Target and its vendors and celebrity partners, Target has raised millions of dollars for the groundbreaking research and lifesaving care of St. Jude. Recently, Target has aligned its corporate commitment to education by supporting the St. Jude School Presented by Target. Target has a continued presence at the hospital throughout the year by hosting quarterly carnivals, art parties and dinner events for St. Jude patients and their families.
Thanks and Giving ®
Target has also supported St. Jude by participating in the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign since its inaugural year in 2004. In 2011, Target raised funds and awareness to support the mission of St. Jude through guest purchases of a plush holiday Bullseye created especially for St. Jude and through the support of gracious vendors, each of whom donated 5 percent of product sales throughout an entire week in September.
For all of its efforts in supporting St. Jude, Target is recognized on the Corporate Partnerships Display in the Patient Care Center lobby.
