Memphis to Peoria runners run the good race

On July 18, 2012, 170 runners embarked on a 465-mile journey from Memphis to Peoria to raise money for the children at St. Jude. The St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run, now in its 31st year, started as a simple desire of Mike McCoy and Gene Pratt to raise money for their favorite charity.

And raise money it did. In 2012, the run (and the affiliate runs that have grown out of the original) raised more than $2 million.

The runners started their journey in Memphis and led by ALSAC CEO Rick Shadyac Jr., they ran through the St. Jude campus. St. Jude employees, patients, and patient’s families cheered the runners on to thank them for their dedication and hard work.
