FedEx/St. Jude Angels and Stars Gala.

Working together with St. Jude, Hispanic artists such as Jade Alexander, Giselle Blondet, Rashel Díaz, Erika Ender, Luis Enrique, Eduardo Osorio and Gaby Spanic joined Cuban-born actress and supermodel, Daisy Fuentes, for the third annual FedEx/St. Jude Angels & Stars Gala in Miami, Florida. The gala was held at the J.W. Marriott Hotel on April 1 and raised more than $200,000 to support the cutting-edge research and treatment programs at St. Jude.

"The tireless effort of the entire St. Jude organization is to be commended," said Fuentes. "I am so fortunate to be able to work with a group dedicated to such a noble cause. I can't think of any other organization that cares for the future of our children like St. Jude."

The ceremony featured emcee Jade Alexander, entertainment reporter at CBS-4, and live performances by singer-songwriter Erika Ender, recording artist Eduardo Osorio and Grammy®
Award nominee Luis Enrique.

The gala also included a silent auction, featuring original artwork from famed Brazilian artist Romero Britto and high-end travel packages, which raised more than $20,000. Britto is also the artist who created the "Season of Miracles" painting that is prominently displayed in the lobby of the St. Jude Patient Care Center.

"For the third consecutive year, we have been able to bring the minds and hearts of South Florida's business community together to support the life-saving mission of St. Jude," said Julio Barrionuevo, vice president of Finance, Planning & Engineering at FedEx Express, Latin America and Caribbean Division. "Our goal is to continue to emphasize the true meaning of this event and how it helps to save the lives of the children."

Gala sponsors included FedEx Express, VISA, The Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald, Cedars Medical Center, Vanidades, Yahoo! en Español, Turnberry Associates, ABAD Corp. and Bacardi U.S.A. Inc.
