Halloween fun abounds at St. Jude

Halloween is always one of the most anticipated days at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as the hospital’s hallways are transformed into a trick-or-treat haven for patients and siblings. The children, clad in a variety of recognizable and original costumes, visited 47 trick-or-treat stops where their bags were piled with tasty goodies. St. Jude faculty and staff disguised themselves as familiar cartoon characters, superheroes and a variety of other costumed characters. The event is organized by the St. Jude Child Life Program to provide patients a chance to take part in festivities they might otherwise miss while undergoing treatment. Employees from physicians and nurses to bench scientists to office personnel take part in selecting themes and decorating the booths for the annual Halloween celebration.
