St. Jude patients create gingerbread treats to celebrate holidays
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital patients created gingerbread confections with the help of almost two dozen chefs. Patients sprinkled sugar, spread frosting and decorated log cabins and edible ornaments. The sweet creations are displayed alongside the hospital’s annual gingerbread house during the holiday season. Activities like these provide patients a diversion from hospital appointments and treatment schedules. Chef Ben Wallace helped patient Larkin Dorris create an ornament for the tree.
