Nora

medulloblastoma

Shortly after Nora’s fourth birthday, she started to vomit and began to walk unsteadily. Her parents, Ying and Yunhiu, took her to the doctor for tests. They were devastated when a CT scan revealed that Nora suffered from a brain tumor. They were quickly referred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® for Nora’s treatment and care. At St. Jude, Nora had surgery to remove the tumor, which was identified as a medulloblastoma. She then underwent radiation and chemotherapy. She is now home with her parents and little brother. “We are thankful for St. Jude,” said Nora’s dad, Yunhui. “We’re grateful for everything they’ve done for Nora.” Nora now visits St. Jude for regular checkups, and her latest set of scans were clear. Nora likes princesses, flowers and the color pink.
