Pediatric Surgical Oncology Fellowship
The St. Jude pediatric surgical oncology fellowship is a non-ACGME accredited program designed to accommodate candidates with various surgical backgrounds who desire additional training in pediatric surgical oncology. General surgical residents, pediatric surgical fellows or international surgeons are eligible. Most of our trainees are interested in developing a career in academic pediatric surgical oncology either in the United States or in their home country after completion of their fellowships.
Individuals who have completed their pediatric surgical fellowship usually work one year on the clinical service followed by a year of research. These individuals are considered instructors in surgery and function as junior attending physicians during their second year.
