On October 11, Jon Hamm, Hilary Duff, Jason Alexander, Jennifer Love Hewitt and a host of celebrities joined the Thomas family in a journey through some of Disney’s greatest animated films for the fifth annual Runway for Life® fashion show benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
More than 1,000 guests turned out for the benefit, which was held at the Beverly Hilton, and served as the launch of Disney’s latest, full length CG animated movie, Tinker Bell, on DVD and Blu-Ray Hi-Def October 28. The event raised nearly $2 million for St. Jude.
Amid a backdrop of the wonderful world of Disney and a magical land of fairies, top models and celebrities walked the catwalk, adorned in women’s wear by Robert Ellis, menswear by Brooks Brothers, make-up by CARGO Cosmetics, and hair by Nexxus.
Participating celebrities included Jaime Pressly, Selena Gomez, Cybill Shepherd, Haylie Duff, Jonny Lee Miller, Natasha Henstridge, Victor Garber, Valerie Bertinelli, Ross McCall, Daisy Fuentes, Jennifer Westfeldt, Kathy Najimy, Skeet Ulrich, Nancy O’Dell, William Shatner, Dick Van Dyke and more.
The event is chaired by Robert Ellis and Terre Thomas, and co-chaired by Marlo and Tony Thomas. The evening is presented by Disney’s “Tinker Bell” on DVD and Blu-Ray Hi-Def October 28 to ensure that 100 percent of the net proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Runway For Life is one of St. Jude’s best-known and largest fundraising events in the nation, raising more than $5.45 million since its inception.
