St. Jude Auxiliary

The St. Jude Auxiliary provides volunteer support to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. All volunteers giving their time to St. Jude, the Memphis Grizzlies House or Target House are welcome to join.

Meetings are held quarterly. All St. Jude, Grizzlies House and Target House volunteers are invited to attend. Meetings consist of discussion concerning Auxiliary business, a guest speaker from a hospital department, and a free luncheon for all in attendance.

Officers are elected once per year. They include a President and a President-Elect. These officers serve one year terms. The President appoints a Recorder, Newsletter Contributor, Bazaar, and Sunshine Chairman. All other members are encouraged to participate on a committee.

In 2011, the St. Jude Auxiliary

• Served in volunteer placements across the institution on a weekly basis.
• Purchased equipment and supplies totaling $33,433 for various departments.
• Sponsored the Director of Volunteer Services’ run to Peoria with a $1,000 donation.
• Raised more than $36,000 during the annual holiday Bazaar.
• Raised more than $20,700 during two Masquerade Jewelry sales.
• Contributed a total of 5,860 volunteer hours to the hospital.
