Country music artists, industry leaders and radio stations descended on the "Home of the Blues"last week to kick off the annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® radio fundraising program. Country Cares unites the music industry and has raised more than $365 million since its inception to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® find cures and save children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

Wall Street celebrates 20 years of caring for St. Jude kids
Hispanic radio listeners in more than a dozen cities tuned in to help fight against childhood cancer, raising more than $633,000 in cash and pledges during the second annual "Promesa y Esperanza" (Promise and Hope) radiothon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
From October 18 – 24, Target guests can help St. Jude in its fight to find cures and save children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases by purchasing participating Procter and Gamble (P&G) brands including Tide, Pampers, Charmin and Pantene as well as other manufacturers’ brands at Target stores nationwide.
Friends, family and colleagues are mourning the loss of former ALSAC CEO Richard C. Shadyac Sr., who served from 1992 to 2005. Shadyac died September 16, 2009 after battling a long-term illness. Shadyac left an indelible mark on ALSAC during his tenure as CEO, helping to shepherd the fundraising organization through the death of St. Jude founder Danny Thomas and presiding over a four-fold increase in fundraising to support the growing needs of St. Jude.
