Charlotte Russe™ has partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since 2008. With an employee base of mostly young women, the brand has a clear interest in the teen patient population, and its enthusiasm is evident in its strong fundraising results.
Each year during the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign, associates solicit donations of $1 or more, and in return, customers receive a coupon for a future purchase. Charlotte Russe also runs a spring campaign around prom season that mirrors the store’s St. Jude Thanks and Giving add-on program, encouraging their customers to be beautiful inside and out. As a result of these efforts, Charlotte Russe has raised more than $2.2 million in their three years as a St. Jude partner.
The brand’s involvement doesn’t just stop at the store level. In 2010, Charlotte Russe hosted its first incentive trip, bringing the top regional, district and store managers to visit St. Jude to see firsthand the recipient of their fundraising efforts. It is through these experiences that the St. Jude relationship is strengthened, and Charlotte Russe employees return to their jobs with a renewed sense of purpose.
