Diagnosis and Treatment of Drug Resistant Leukemia (SJ-04-0001)

Technology Name
(St. Jude Reference #)
Diagnosis and Treatment of Drug Resistant Leukemia (SJ-04-0001)
Description This technology arose from an analysis of differences in gene expression between drug-sensitive and drug-resistant leukemia cells.  Differentially expressed genes act as biomarkers for drug resistant leukemia, and further serve as molecular targets for drugs useful in treating drug resistant leukemia.  Methods are provided for diagnosing drug resistant leukemia and for selecting an appropriate therapy.  Screening methods are also provided for identifying compounds useful in treating drug-resistant leukemia.
Keywords Gene expression profiling, drug resistance, leukemia
