Marlo Thomas wins GRAMMY for Thanks & Giving All Year Long

Marlo Thomas, national outreach director for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, won the GRAMMY® award on February 8, 2006, in the category of Best Spoken Word Album For Children for her Thanks & Giving All Year Long recording.

The CD was released as a companion piece with Thomas' book of the same title. The book and CD were re-issued this year as part of St. Jude's Thanks and Giving campaign. During the national campaign, Thomas spent the holiday month asking the public to give thanks for the children in their lives who are healthy and to give to those who are not.

Joining Thomas on the CD were celebrity supporters such as Billy Crystal, Jennifer Aniston, Sheryl Crow, Jimmy Buffett, Sarah Jessica Parker, David Hyde Pierce, Faith Hill and many more.

"Everyone who worked on the album is so excited, and the children at St. Jude are jumping for joy because it all benefits our wonderful hospital," said Thomas.
