This study is a secondary aim within the Phase I study, SJBG09, treatment for children/adolescents with brain stem glioma. The study aim is to assess and describe patient and proxy report by the parent on the patient’s quality of life during and after treatment for brain stem glioma. In addition, the study assesses and describes the health related quality of life in parents of children being treated for brain stem glioma. Association between the quality of life indicators and treatment demographics will be explored. The ultimate goal of this aim is to describe the quality of life trajectory of the brain stem glioma patient and parent, providing heightened measures of supportive care as predicted from the described measures.
