The Ronald McDonald House® of Memphis recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with a beach party for patients and families.
Patients and siblings played carnival games, painted a variety of wooden creations and enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs from the grill. Ronald McDonald provided entertainment and crafted McDonald’s hamburger wrappers into paper roses for the children.
The Ronald McDonald House serves St. Jude patients and families staying in Memphis for treatment that is expected to last eight days to three months. Since opening its doors on August 25, 1991, the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis has housed nearly 5,700 children from almost every U.S. state and 45 countries. All families stay free of charge.
