St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

St. Jude and World Cancer Day

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital joins Switzerland-based Union for International Cancer Control and others across the globe Monday, February 4 to acknowledge World Cancer Day. It provides an opportunity to improve general knowledge around cancer and bring the growing cancer crisis to the attention of the general public, government leaders and health policymakers worldwide.

The International Outreach Program at St. Jude focuses on improving the survival rates of children with life-threatening illnesses worldwide through the transfer of knowledge, technology and organizational skills. One of those tools is the Cure4Kids for Kids program, which educates children, teachers and parents about cancer and healthy lifestyles to help reduce the risk of cancer in adulthood. Learn more about the International Outreach Program and Cure4Kids for Kids.

To help acknowledge World Cancer Day, the International Outreach Program is hosting a webinar Monday, February 4 at 8 a.m. CST. The educational webinar will feature a group of speakers who will address commonly believed myths associated with cancer—the theme of this year’s World Cancer Day. The webinar is open to the public, who can register online to participate.
