American television and voice actor Patrick Warburton and his wife Cathy visited St. Jude on April 8 to learn more about the mission and work of St. Jude. Warburton also took time to entertain patients, family and staff with a reading of a Dr. Seuss classic in one of his many character voices.

The Warburtons began with a tour of the hospital’s research facilities and medical laboratories. Afterward, Warburton sat down in the Chili’s Care Center lobby for a reading of Horton Hatches the Egg. Warburton mesmerized the eagerly awaiting crowd of fans with his reading, and afterwards spent time with the kids as he signed autographs and posed for photos. Then Warburton and his wife stopped by Kay Kafe before touring the Memphis Grizzlies House and Target House.

Warburton is best known for character roles in the television shows Seinfeld, NewsRadio, The Tick and Less Than Perfect. As a voice actor, his uniquely deep voice has been featured in such blockbuster animated movies as The Emperor's New Groove, Bee Movie, and Chicken Little and the direct-to-video sequels of Toy Story. He is also featured in a long and growing list of animated television series such as Family Guy, The Venture Brothers, The Cleveland Show and Kim Possible. He currently appears in the CBS television program, Rules of Engagement.
