The Marshalls® partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital began in 2004, with the inaugural St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign.
The company went all out, with every Marshalls store (a TJX Companies brand) across the United States participating. In that first year, Marshalls program consisted of a bag stuffer piece that included a reply envelope for customers to use for their donation. The program was a resounding success, and in 2005, Marshalls decided to continue its St. Jude Thanks and Giving partnership. As the campaign moved to a new brand, it also included a modification to the program, with shoppers being asked to add a $1 donation at the register.
Marshalls' charitable efforts paid off back then, and continues to pay off today. In 2010, the corporation raised more than $800,000, and continued the add-on program in 2011.
Since forging the partnership with St. Jude seven years ago, Marshalls has proven its commitment to the lifesaving mission of St. Jude by raising an impressive total of $2.8 million.
