Meet St. Jude patient Gloriuna
10 years old
Tennessee
rhabdomyosarcoma/osteosarcoma
Gloriuna is a fighter. In 2004, she was found to suffer from rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive soft tissue cancer. At St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Gloriuna underwent chemotherapy and radiation. For several years, cancer wasn’t a part of her life. Then, in 2009, tests showed Gloriuna suffered from a second type of cancer called osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. She had surgery to remove the tumor and chemotherapy. In 2012, her family learned the osteosarcoma had returned, and Gloriuna has resumed chemotherapy. Despite everything she’s been through, Gloriuna is a happy little girl.
