Patients Celebrate Halloween at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

For Halloween, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital transformed its clinics, hallways and other spaces into a winding trick-or-treat trail for patients with cancer or other life-threatening diseases. Everyone from nurses to scientists to office personnel—many donning costumes of their own—set up trick-or-treat stands for the kids. St. Jude patient Originae Brown enjoys a visit from superheroes Tim Phoenix, Ph.D.; Brad Walters, Ph.D.; and Spencer Currle, Ph.D., all of Developmental Neurobiology. The event is organized by the St. Jude Child Life Program to provide patients a chance to take part in festivities they might otherwise miss while undergoing treatment.
