Reagan, 3 years old, Illinois. acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Reagan wanted a little lamb from the gift shop at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She saw the stuffed animal every day on her way to chemotherapy, but her mom didn’t have much spending money.
One day, Reagan’s doctor thought about everything the little girl had been through and decided to buy the lamb. Reagan had been undergoing intensive chemotherapy for her acute lymphoblastic luekemia, but the disease has proved resistant to therapy. Reagan had stayed strong through everything.
“Let’s go and get your lamb,” her doctor told Reagan. Now, Reagan has her stuffed animal.
Reagan loves St. Jude because she feels loved here. Jessica loves St. Jude because it’s saving her daughter’s life. “Her doctor won’t give up on her,” said Jessica.
Through the generous support of donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, housing or food—because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Recently, Reagan received a bone marrow transplant. This little girl is a fighter.
