On July 13, the Webkinz™ Road Team dropped by St. Jude to unlock a world of surprises for patients and their families. The crew rolled onto campus in one of three specially decorated vans currently criss-crossing the United States on the Webkinz Road Trip Summer Tour 2010.
The Webkinz Road Team unpacked the fun in the Kay's Family Corner, where patients and siblings could play games, participate in contests, sing karaoke and win virtual prizes online from a laptop. Inpatients were treated to special deliveries of goodie bags filled with Webkinz mini-figures, trading cards, music CDs, bookmarks, stickers and special cards with feature codes to play games online.
Introduced by the Ganz company, Webkinz are collectable plush toys, each with its own secret code that allows kids to adopt their pet online in the Webkinz world. The Webkinz Foundation recently endowed a renovation of the Webkinz Room at the Memphis Grizzlies House.
