Fusing the novel research of St. Jude scientists and the adept work of Memphis artists, the third annual Art of Science exhibit opened recently at the Memphis College of Art Nesin Graduate Center, Hyde Gallery, located in downtown Memphis. After successful collaborations in 2011 and 2012, this year’s event combined the work of 27 St. Jude scientists and 27 local artists to produce one exhibition that showcased basic science.

Through painting, mixed media, 3-D, projections, metal work, wood cuts and dance choreography, the exhibit bridges the art and science communities to educate the community about the research being conducted at St. Jude.

During the opening reception, visitors met and spoke with the artists and scientists whose works were featured.
